The NIST sUAS Proficiency Test (officially the Standard Test Methods for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems) is a globally recognized, objective framework used to measure a drone pilot’s flight skills and the drone’s sensor capabilities.
The NIST test is not a Ground school as other courses, this is a Practical Flight Exam that requires pilots to physically maneuver their aircraft through a specific course.
The goal is to evaluate pilot proficiency and aircraft performance through a certified skills accuracy test, conducted in accordance with NIST Standard Test Methods
